Daniel J. Burman, LLB, BBA, BACS

Daniel J. Burman graduated from Riverview Rural High School and went on to attend Cape Breton University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Community Studies Degree in 1996 and a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in 1997. Daniel continued his education, obtaining his Law Degree in 2000 at the University of Manitoba. He articled for Khattar & Khattar and has spent his entire career at Khattar & Khattar, starting there in May of 2000. Daniel became a partner at the law firm of
Khattar & Khattar in 2008.

Daniel is a highly skilled advocate for his clients, with strong negotiation skills. If negotiations do not work out, Daniel is known to be a tenacious litigator in the courtroom. Having worked in a general practice since 2000, Daniel has a very broad knowledge base in several areas of law, including but not limited to criminal law, family law, adoptions, corporate and commercial law, real estate law, and estate law.

Daniel has taken part in various high profile cases, including acting as counsel for Donald Marshall Jr. in his abuse of process case against the Crown. He has also successfully represented clients in lengthy and serious criminal matters. 


Daniel has been active in his community over the years. He coaches minor hockey at various levels. Daniel has also sat on the Board of Directors and been a member with Community Economic Development Corporations since 2001.
